Speak of the Devil
Said when the person you were just talking about suddenly shows up or gets in touch.
Examples
- Speak of the devil—Sarah just texted to ask if we're still on for dinner.
- We were just talking about Mark's new haircut, and speak of the devil, he walked right into the café.
- Is that your brother at the door? Speak of the devil—we'll have to finish this story later.
Quote
It ain't about how hard you hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward.
Remix: Throwing a punch is easy. The real trick is taking one—then showing up on Monday anyway.
